Welcome to DonSancho5 Web page, here we have put together  useful information about the surroundings as well as the complex itself.

We are situated in Los Altos (Orihuela-Costa), Costa Blanca a province of Alicante. The Residential community consists of 210 apartments and has two swimming pools both maintained to a very high standard with wheelchair friendly access. The palm tree shaded gardens are also well maintained to an equally high standard throughout the year. As a residential complex we hope and expect it to be kept that way even when apartments are let to friends or holiday makers as it is to every ones advantage to have an enjoyable stay here.We have a truly international community , consisting of English , Spanish , Norwegian ,Dutch ,Belgium , German , Russian and French to name but a few .

We have an unpaid elected residential committee consisting, a President, a Vice President  and five  other members who, in conjunction with our administrators work together so that the community runs smoothly throughout the year. As the aim of the website is to inform and communicate, we are more than happy for contributions from all owners whatever nationality , any ideas, suggestions or items for the website please contact us. .

Several of the owners have responded to the need for dependable UK TV  and have completed a project to provide an independant Satellite system capable of receiving " Freesat " transmissions via our own Satellite dish .

You will be able to explore the numerous bars and restaurants which  are close by plus Supermarkets and the new shopping centre near the N332 just a few minutes away from the complex. You have no more than a fifteen minute walk down to the sea front where you will be able to enjoy the walks and beautiful beaches along the coastline.

Not far from our complex at Flamenca Beach the coastline has been revitalised by way of a new walk way, palm trees plus seats to sit and enjoy the view as well as the delights of the two beaches. Nearby is the post office plus shops and cafes. Not far from there we have Playa Flamenca commercial centre and here you will be able to enjoy the numerous shops, restaurants, small cafes and of course many types of bars.Along the road at la Zenia there is also a new shopping centre due to be opened around November 2012 which will include familiar shops like primark ect.  

Should you decide to travel into the local town of Torrevieja you can enjoy the Vista Alegra which is a walkway where you can stroll all the way to the nearby area of La Mata and as you do so, explore the shops , stop at the many cafes and enjoy the views .Should you decide that is not for you then try the town centre where you will find the town square , church and  many shops to browse.

The area is responding to the increasing population .We now have a new local hospital within 5 minutes travelling time .Some of our residents have been unfortunate to have needed the hospital and have reported that the standard of care is second to none . The water authorities are  currently building a desalination plant to ensure adequate water supplies in the area for years to come.
